Google Earth Prize Coin Hunt

Coin Hunter in association with Google Earth presents the first Coin Treasure Hunt.

About

The hunt is designed to be a challenge but not too difficult - most coins are easily visible.

The clues are presented as an envelope OR as just coins, such as a message spelt out in A to Z 10ps.

Use the clues to work out the next location and type into the Google Earth search box to travel there.

How to take part

  1. Download the Google Earth app on your IOS or Android device.
  2. Then download the Coin Hunter Treasure Hunt Google Earth Project.
  3. Open the Google Earth app and select Projects from the menu.
  4. Click the Open button and select Import KML file - select the file treasure-hunt.kml from the Downloads folder.
  5. Click the 3 dots icon and select Pin to Earth - then click the back arrow to return to the main Google Earth map.
  6. Follow the coins and the clues to find 6 locations leading to the treasure.

Complete the hunt to find a code with the treasure - it's free to play or once you have found the special code, buy a Prize Coin Hunt ticket for £3, enter the code you found in the Google Earth app in the box below.

Then answer the tie break question which is: Guess the total number of 2019 Brilliant Uncirculated (Cupro-Nickel) Kew Gardens 50ps that will be reported as sold when the 2019 Royal Mint sales figures are published. (This should be soon)
