The Kew Gardens 50p marked the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Royal Botanic Gardens in 2009. The design by Christopher Le Brun shows the pagoda at Kew Gardens encircled by a vine. This 2019 dated Brilliant Uncirculated 50p is a re-issue of the original 2009 coin to celebrate 50 years of the 50p.

2019 Kew Gardens 50p in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin is presented in a Coin Hunter card measuring 85mm x 61mm (height / width in portarit orientation), sealed and protected by a plastic blister.

Brilliant Uncirculated coins are produced to a higher standard, this 50p shows more detail and has none of the marks and scratches found on circulation coins.

The coin reverse by Christopher Le Brun shows a design showing the pagoda, a building strongly associated with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, encircled by a vine and accompanied by the dates "1759" and "2009", with the word "KEW" at the base of the pagoda.

The 2019 Kew Gardens 50p won't be found in change, as this design was not struck for circulation. This coin was only available to buy in Brilliant Uncirculated quality, the number sold / mintage is 84,681 coins.
