The Roger Bannister 50p marked the 50th anniversary in 2004 of the first four-minute mile. This 2019 dated Brilliant Uncirculated 50p is a re-issue of the original 2004 coin to celebrate 50 years of the 50p.

2019 Roger Bannister 50p in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin is presented in a Coin Hunter card measuring 85mm x 61mm (height / width in portarit orientation), sealed and protected by a plastic blister.

Brilliant Uncirculated coins are produced to a higher standard, this 50p shows more detail and has none of the marks and scratches found on circulation coins.

The coin reverse by James Butler shows the legs of a running athlete with a stylized stopwatch in the background and, below, the value "50 PENCE".

The 2019 Roger Bannister 50p won't be found in change, as this design was not struck for circulation. This coin was only available to buy in Brilliant Uncirculated quality, the number sold / mintage is 84,685 coins.
