2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the fifty pence coin, a special Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) "New Pence" 50p was available to strike at The Royal Mint Experience from the 1st of January until the 31st of March 2019.

According to The Royal Mint website, a total of 13,082 Britannia "New Pence" 50p coins were struck and placed in the exclusive "Strike Your Own" packaging.
