2019 Stephen Hawking 50p Royal Mint BU Pack

New factory sealed official Royal Mint pack

Stephen Hawking 50p in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin is displayed in an official Royal Mint presentation pack, sealed and protected by a plastic outer wrapper.

Our stock was sent out by The Royal Mint over 5 years ago (new, sealed), the pack you will receive is in exactly the same condition as the day it left the factory in 2019.

The Royal Mint RRP for new 50p packs is now £12, we think this 2019 release at just £13.49 today is very good value.

When you order from Coin Hunter, you will receive an as new sealed pack from our original stock received in 2019.

Most other UK coin sellers are out of stock, if buying from eBay or any other marketplace, you should check condition - as some "second hand" packs may not be sealed and in perfect as new condition.

Brilliant Uncirculated coins are produced to a higher standard, this 50p shows more detail and has none of the marks and scratches found on circulation coins.

The coin reverse by Edwina Ellis shows a stylized depiction of a black hole with the inscription "STEPHEN HAWKING" and the entropy equation.

Coin Rarity / Mintage

The Stephen Hawking 50p was Not Struck For Circulation (NSFC), so wont be found in change.

This fifty pence was available to purchase in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality from release date: 12 March 2019. Total BU Mintage figures include 107,209 coins in the Innovation in Science Stephen Hawking Royal Mint packs and 105,000 sold in Change Checker packaging from official distributors The Westminster Collection.

The official 50p pack shown here is no longer available from The Royal Mint and the coin in Change Checker packaging is also sold out on The Westminster Collection website.
