The Sherlock Holmes 50p marks the 160th anniversary in 2019 of the author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's birth. The design by Stephen Raw shows a silhouette of Sherlock Holmes smoking his pipe, surrounded by the titles of stories written by Conan Doyle that feature the famous detective. The fifty pence piece is uncirculated and protected in a small plastic wallet.
