Circulated Coin
The Act of Union £2 coin marked the 300th anniversary in 2007 of the passing of the 1707 Act of Union between England and Scotland. The design by Yvonne Holton shows a four interlocked jigsaw pieces, the rose of England opposite the thistle of Scotland with a portcullis in the other 2 sections. The two pound coin is circulated and protected in a small plastic wallet.
